Overview
We ensure commercial truck and bus carriers’ compliance with transportation laws and National Safety Code (NSC) Program requirements.
The Third Party Auditor Certification Program was created to meet the Alberta Government's requirements for conducting commercial carrier safety fitness audits under the federal Motor Vehicle Transport Act and Alberta’s Traffic Safety Act.
Certified auditors and reviewers
Our third party auditors are certified to conduct:
- New carrier compliance reviews
- National Safety Code facility audits
- Verification audits
We maintain a list of certified third party auditors and reviewers who offer services within the province, as well as a list of suggested fees.
We do not set auditing or travel fees. It is recommended that carriers contact several auditors or reviewers to discuss their needs and expectations prior to hiring one to complete the assignment.
Recruitment process
We are not recruiting third party auditors at this time. All future recruitments will be advertised on this page.
Third party auditors undergo strict screening, followed by a robust educational process which provides them with the necessary skills to conduct different types of audits.
Third party auditors must submit an application package to be considered for certification. Read the recruitment process document for more information.
